Our Story
Rooted in the Desert
Southwest Cactus LLC was built on a simple belief: the desert's most spectacular plants deserve to be treated with the same care and expertise as any museum-quality specimen.
"Quality Service From the Roots Up"
How It Started
It started with a single saguaro. Over a decade ago, our founder was hired to relocate a 20-foot giant that stood in the path of a new development. Most people would have written it off. Instead, he spent weeks studying the plant, preparing the site, and executing a move that saved a cactus that had been growing since before World War II. That plant is still thriving today — and that job became the foundation of everything Southwest Cactus LLC is built on.
A Decade of Expertise
In the years since, we've relocated, removed, sourced, and placed thousands of specimen desert plants across the Southwest. We've worked with homeowners protecting a beloved backyard saguaro, developers needing to clear land responsibly, resorts building world-class desert landscapes, and collectors searching for that one-of-a-kind specimen. Every job has taught us something. Every plant has a story.
Why It Matters
Saguaros grow one inch per year. A 20-foot specimen is 240 years old. A 30-foot giant may have been alive before the United States existed. These aren't just plants — they're living monuments to the desert's resilience. We take that seriously. Every relocation we perform, every specimen we source, every removal we execute is done with the understanding that we're stewards of something irreplaceable.
What Drives Us
The Values Behind Every Job
Expertise
We've spent over a decade learning how desert plants move, root, and thrive. That knowledge is the foundation of every job we take.
Integrity
We only source plants legally and ethically. Every specimen we sell or move comes with full documentation and a clear chain of custody.
Stewardship
Desert plants are irreplaceable. We treat every specimen — whether we're moving it, selling it, or removing it — with the respect it deserves.
Craftsmanship
We don't cut corners. From root preparation to final placement, every step of our process is done right — because these plants don't give you a second chance.
